I have some new friends, they shout my name when they see my cycling down the road and run to my door to tell me about their day, and what cake they want me to bake. I am known as the Indian pretty girl who has a cameraman in her house.
These new friends of mine are aged between 7-13 and they think I am an actress.
As the new kid on the block, I baked chocolate orange biscuits for them.

▶ Recipe for 12 biscuits
Ingredients:
90g butter softened
60g caster sugar
1 medium egg
1 tbsp milk
280g wholemeal plain flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
medium cookie cutter (any shape)
1 tsp orange zest
Nutella
Sprinkles
Method:
Preheat oven 180°c
Grease a large baking tray, and line with greaseproof paper
: beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy
: beat in the egg and milk until a smooth batter
: sift the flour and cocoa powder and add orange zest
: lightly flour work surface and tip all the mixture on it
: work into mixture to form a soft dough
: roll out and cut out biscuits
: space evenly on baking tray
: bake for 15 minutes
< transfer to a wire rack and cool completely, then spread half a teaspoon of nutella on each one, and decorate with sprinkles.
